A roofing decision is a big one.
It’s okay to start with questions.
Roof age alone does not decide it. An assessment should explain the extent of deterioration or damage, the condition around it, and whether a repair can address the problem. Ask to see the findings behind any replacement recommendation.
Often, yes. Isolated leaks, flashing problems, missing shingles, or localized storm damage may be repairable. The right recommendation depends on the damage, the roof’s overall condition, and whether a repair would be a durable fix.
Impact marks, changes to shingles, or dents on exposed metal can be clues. A mark on one component does not establish damage across the whole roof. A close assessment should explain where findings occur, what they mean, and what remains uncertain.
